But the opposite has also happened, today, in an open letter to FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski, 24 CEOs and founders representing the world's leading Internet and technology companies (Facebook, Sony, Amazon, eBay, Twitter, and Google) and more, threw their support behind the effort to protect an open Internet.
An open Internet fuels a competitive and efficient marketplace, where consumers make the ultimate choices about which products succeed and which fail. This allows businesses of all sizes, from the smallest startup to larger corporations, to compete, yielding maximum economic growth and opportunity.Again for I guess there are profit motives behind it for them but an open internet will provides a greater good for all, not just some switch builders, ISPs and Senators.
America’s leadership in the technology space has been due, in large part, to the open Internet. We applaud your leadership in initiating a process to develop rules to ensure that the qualities that have made the Internet so successful are protected.
I was wondering who will come forward to support the Open Internet, like the recent Spectrum Auctions.
