Samsung Galaxy Tab mobile tablet http://snapvoip.blogspot.com/ Even though I have used Tablet PC but now they seem to be springing up everywhere, I just finished writing about a Windows7 Tablet, 2goPad SL10. Samsung announced yesterday, the upcoming availability of the Galaxy Tab™ in the U.S with AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless. The first mobile tablet from Samsung has acquired many of the powerful characteristics of the Samsung Galaxy S smart phone lineup. On the hardware front, Galaxy Tab is powered by 1GHz Hummingbird Application processor supporting 3D graphics and smooth Web browsing on it's 7-inch enhanced TFT display screen. The front and rear-facing cameras for video chat while on-the-go and to take regular photos.
The Galaxy Tab runs Android 2.2™ FROYO, includsg full support for Adobe® Flash® Player 10.1. Just like the Galaxy S smart phones, the Galaxy Tab includes Samsung's Social Hub application and the new Media Hub content service, offering a robust collection of premium movies and TV episodes from some of the biggest entertainment companies.
“We’re looking forward to expanding our computing device portfolio and giving our AT&T customers more great choices with this innovative device, “By teaming with Samsung Mobile to deliver the Samsung Galaxy Tab, we’re equipping our customers with new and exciting ways to connect to the nation’s fastest mobile broadband network.” said Glenn Lurie, president of AT&T's emerging devices speaking about the product launch on AT&T network.
Other carriers will have a similar plan I guess.
“The addition of Galaxy Tab to the Galaxy product portfolio is a powerful proof point of Samsung’s commitment to bring new and innovative mobile experiences to U.S. consumers, The 7-inch display and thin, lightweight design, combined with premium content and productivity tools makes the Galaxy Tab a true mobile tablet that is as comfortable to use standing on a crowded train as it is relaxing on the couch at home. The Galaxy Tab is perfect for watching a movie, reading an e-book or catching up with your favorite TV shows or chatting with an old friend. Plus, the Tab’s design makes it completely pocketable in your pants or jacket.”were the words of Omar Khan, chief strategy officer for Samsung Mobile.
Either way, looks like I will end up with a tablet very soon. But my iPhone contract is also due to upgrade! Drop it and go all the way Android? or keep the unlimited data plan on AT&T, will see.
