Personalized Suggestions And Synchronized Starring Helps To Take Your Places And Searches To Go With Google Maps For Mobile.

If you searched for location on your computer found out the place of interest and memorized the general location of the store or the restaurant and you are on the way.

But by the time you get near, you have forgotten the minor details. Now you have to do the same search on your mobile. With use of mobiles while driving being dangerous and illegal, you have to pull to a side to do the search.
But now Google is doing the memorizing for you with the personalized suggestions. This way as soon as you begin to type the search phrase, you will see the suggestions, making your search shorter and quick.
Once you find the site or once you are on location, you can pull up your Google Maps and star the place. Now this location will show up on your computer as well as your mobile with Synchronized Starring, as long as you are using Google Maps for Mobile on an Android, at the moment.
All these takes only a single step, you have to signed in to your Google Account and your web history enabled.
If you are a user of Google Nexus one, you will receive an over the air update to Google Maps 3.4. Other Androids can download the app from Android Market soon.
They have also added "night Mode" for finding your places easily at night. Happy Mobiling with Android.

Stay The Course By Going Mobile With Google Maps

I use Google Maps for many a reasons, just checking a route to a National Park to make the best of the trip or finding a friends house on a distance land are both fun adn educational.
I use Google Maps in my work too. Before we used to hunt for topographical maps to lay down various requirements of our work, now we have all we need in maps via a simple set of APIs.
I also have Google Maps on my iPhone, Android and BlackBerry, Yes I am a phone junkie and I have many a handsets that we develop our vertical market application for. On my iPhone, Google Maps have become my regular GPS guided travelling companion that helps me to find from an office address I am visiting to place to have a nice drink at the end of the day, without having to pull out maps or having to lug my notebook around.

So Google has opened up "Go Mobile" week at Google, go educate yourself and make your life a bit easier, there are much more than just Google Maps to learn about but just the maps by themselves is good enough!

Google Ads On iPhone Native Maps App

Google Paid listings are appearing on  Google Map Search on iPhone snapvoip.blogspot.com
When you search on iPhone Maps App, it seems now that paid listings appear alongside the generic search results.

The sponsored listings are easy to notice since they appear with custom pushpins and when you expand one of these locations, a brief ad copy appear on the top but Google shows that it is a paid listing in many ways.
The Maps App is from Apple even though it uses the technology from Google Maps.

Google Mobile for Blackberry
If you wondered why only iPhone and Android users spoke to their phones with words like "fish and chips" "bestbuy" "Toilet" etc and looking at the phone instead of keeping it to the ear, rejoice. Now you can wonder the same about Blackberry users.
Google mobile Apps has released the support for Blackberry devices and one could conduct a search by voice and the results will be tailored by location services for you.
Just point your Blackberry to http://m.google.com and try it out. Google says Blackberry Storm is not supported yet.
