snom making partnerships with eqipment makers to provide end to end VoIP IP Telephony solutions to small to medium sized business'. The latest is their partnership with Cudatel,  a wholly owned subsidiary of content security vendor Barracuda Networks Inc. snom is know world over for developing and manufacturing voice over IP (VoIP) phones for enterprise and residential markets.

The partnership paves the way for businesses to deploy snom's portfolio of Linux-based SIP VoIP phones with CudaTel's FreeSwitch based IP PBX and communications appliance, CudaTel Communication Server. FreeSWITCH is a free open source software communications platform for voice and chat-driven products released under the MPL free software license.

Cisco has released a new VoIP Phone that is almost like my old cell phone! Just kidding, I did not have a brick for a cell phone this phone is not a brick either. But one of my cars, which is a classic has a phone that is a brick!
The new phone seem to be ideal for rough use and actually behaves like a cell phone with it's bluetooth capabilities. Due the rugged design the phone is protected from dust, liquids and moisture that comes along the busy day. Following is a brief explanation of the phone by Cisco.
