Exploding iPhones Now? Apple Says It Is Investigating

Exploded iPod
Exploding iPhones
We have has information on overheating iPhones and exploding iPods that Apple was trying to suppress with offers of free replacements.
Now that iPhones are seemingly exploding (There is a case where a teen got injured in France) European Commission is looking into the fact. Reuters reported that;
"Apple have come back to us ... and what they've said to us is that they consider these are isolated incidents. They don't consider that there's a general problem. They're trying to get more information on the specific details of those incidents (reported in the media) and they will do tests as necessary to investigate the possible cause" commission spokeswoman Helen Kearns told a news briefing.
Recently KIROTV, a Seattle TV station published an article and a video after a 7 month investigation in to exploding iPods. It is clear that Apple do not want any of these published;
"It took more than 7-months for KIRO 7 Consumer Investigator Amy Clancy to get her hands on documents concerning Apple’s iPods from the Consumer Product Safety Commission because Apple’s lawyers filed exemption after exemption. In the end, the CPSC released more than 800 pages which reveal, for the very first time, a comprehensive look that shows, on a number of occasions, iPods have suddenly burst into flames, started to smoke, and even burned their owners."
Hope my iPhone does not explode, will it Apple?

Exploding iPod Owners Silenced? Looks Like Apple's Halo Disappearing Fast!

Exploding iPod Owners Gagged?
The halo around Apple seem to be fading a lot these days. With every bit of news Apple seem to becoming more evil.
I just read that Apple has asked a owner of an exploding iPod to sign a letter (Gagging order by Apple) stating that they will keep the incident secret.
Ken Stanborough, the father of iPod owner Ellie, was asked to "agree that you will keep the terms and existence of this settlement agreement completely confidential", and that any breach of confidentiality "may result in Apple seeking injunctive relief, damages and legal costs against the defaulting persons or parties", when he asked Apple for refund.
Now you know why you did not hear about exploding iPods (we now know of thanks to Stanborough!) We did hear about exploding iPhones, earlier. I wonder about those heating up iPhone 3GS now. Were they Gagged too?
"I thought it was a very disturbing letter," he said, "They're putting a life sentence on myself, my daughter and Ellie's mum, not to say anything to anyone. If we inadvertently did say anything, no matter what, they would take litigation against us. I thought that was absolutely appalling."
Of course he did not sign the letter allowing Apple to own his family and the dog!
