This product is a PCI-Express X1 and compliments the Digium’s existing PCI-based TDM410 product. I have been a user of TDM410 for many years now and I have been very happy with the product. But I am ready to test and use the new PCIE based AEX410.
The AEX410 could be equiped with analog station (FXS) and trunk (FXO) modules to POTS. Using these modules it could be connected to the PSTN, to other PBXs, or to analog handset devices. But I am for one surely will order the optional DSP-based 128ms line echo cancellation module VPMADT032 G.168.
We also wrote about AEX800, an eight port analog interface card earlier. But we did not get a chance to test it
Digium has a wealth of AEX410 documentation on the card available for you to persue and of course a lengthy post on the Digium blog, explaining all the capabilities, compatibilities etc, in greater length.
I will of couse write about my experience once I have tested to card.
