Stoke has released an upgraded version of its award-winning Mobile Data Offload application together with a new services ecosystem which combines optimization, content delivery acceleration and innovation and leverages selective traffic breakout at the edge of the mobile network.
Stoke continue to work on the research front and recently BT has commissioned a research exercise to investigate key aspects of flat IP architectures for mobile networks, including LTE SAE (Long Term Evolution/Service Architecture Evolution). On the financial front, Stoke just secured a $17M funding round to help carriers deliver better mobile broadband. This brings the funding to $92M to date. Santa Clara, Calif. – February 09, 2011: Mobile broadband gateway developer Stoke today introduced enhancements to its award winning Mobile Data Offload application together with a new ecosystem that allows operators to improve mobile data service delivery efficiencies, saving millions of dollars in core infrastructure and capacity expansion costs, while re-tooling for the realities of explosive growth in Mobile Internet usage.Stoke Mobile Data Offload (MDO), introduced in January 2010, has been upgraded as a result of engagements and testing with operators throughout 2010.
