AT&T Network Troubles snapvoip.blogspot.com
Just yesterday, I was talking to a bunch of my friends about iPhone, network and AT&T, and many had one answer, "if Verizon gets iPhone, I will jump ship!". Those Verizon map ads seem to work!
But AT&T too must be getting the message because it has found a way to let users report about the network (Something that they already know, or could ask from Verizon! :). AT&T has released a free app, "AT&T Mark the Spot", a free application which requires iPhone OS version 3.0 or later, that allows you to report the status of the network to AT&T. But I would like to know what they would do with the data? could we too be able to see them? I doubt.
Even though the name suggests something my dog do, I guess will mark the spot, hoping it will improve. For me, after dropping a call or not being able to make a call, the last thing I want sending some data to AT&T that it already has. (Perhaps thay want to show that they are working on it with this app!).
Only thing comes to my mind is count the days of my contract.
PS Mr. Wilsons ad did nothing to change my mind, use that money to add towers!

AT&T Scores Lowest In Overall Customer Satisfaction Among Smartphone Users! Is iPhone Hurting AT&T?
Despite rescuing AT&T from economic downfall, now iPhone is being blamed for hurting AT&T's image snapvoip.blogspot.com
I was reading a very good article on CNN about "Is the iPhone hurting AT&T Brand?" my first reaction and answer was "What?" "No!"
But after reading the article and putting aside the emotional feeling about my low number of bars on the iPhone, I am understanding the quote.
Yes I am jumping ship as soon as another carrier offers iPhone, contract or not!

And for the first time, AT&T has scored worse than all four major U.S. wireless operators in terms of overall customer satisfaction for smartphones. According to the survey, AT&T scored 69 out of 100 among users, and 73 among non-iPhone owners. Verizon Wireless was the most satisfying carrier with a score or 79 out of 100 among smartphone users. But if that is the case, AT&T can turn around and fix the network and give what the customesrs are paying for! I like to see more bars on my phone!
Even Sprint Nextel, which has struggled to retain customers due to its poor reputation, scored better than AT&T among smartphone users. It got a 74 out of 100 in terms of customer satisfaction.

AT&T iPhone Damage Control Goes Out Of Control?
AT&T iPhone Damage Control
AT&T is putting a human face in front of those draconian contracts we sign and wait for services. I have been using iPhone for for a while now and my biggest complain is about call completion. They tend to drop more calls than what they complete and there were even instance that I rang another iPhone next to me which did not ring nor displayed missed call!
But going through the comments on this video, it is not only me, there are many others! Ready to jump ship.
"I would love to get an iPhone but based on my friends experiences with AT&T i will NEVER, EVER get an iPhone until it is available on another carrier. I've never had a single problem with my Verizon service. There have been multiple times when my AT&T using friends were having crummy reception and I had full bars."
"So basically you're saying that you can't support all the people you have on your data network, yet are forcing people with smartphones to get a data plan starting this month. That makes no sense that if you can't support the current level of customers you would FORCE and increase when you just admitted you can't handle it. This is why I hate ATT because as a company they are full of shit."
"Unfortunately my love for the iPhone has forced me to stay on ATT. When the time comes for Apple to finally move onto other carriers (Verizon), I and many others will leave your sorry asses behind, and we will watch and laugh at how your company will crash and burn from the horrible loss of the iPhone revenue that you squander upon. In about 5 years time, ATT will be a ghost, because they FAILED with the iPhone. You had your chance and you showed you don't deserve it."
I could go on but follow the video and check for yourselves; (I did try to find a comment positive towards AT&T and I stopped at page 27)
