I had the pleasure of reading an article by TMC's Erik Linask interviewing Digium's in-house counsel  and contracts manager Michelle Petrone-Fleming (whom we encountered in her Asterisk, Open Source and Licensing! article)concerning Digium and Asterisk branding and regarding the presentation that Michelle will be presenting at Astricon 2009.
Great read, and Michelle mentioned at one point;

“If you show a random sampling of code to anyone not intimately familiar with every line of code in Asterisk, and they will have a hard time telling you what software it is. Show that same person the bubble logo and they’ll immediately know it is Asterisk.”

I am a frequent reader of TMCnets blogs, even though not all 40 of them, I have my favorite blogs like Rich Tehrani, Tom Keating among many others. I have known them in this capacity for a very long time, like from my first Internet Telephony Expo.
There are many technology and communications talented bloggers and according to Richs post they are growing! God Speed TMC!

Congratulations TMCnet, On ITEXPO East 2009 Success

Even though I did not attend, I kept my sight on ITEXPO and also listened to some people who attended and obviously read a lot by attendees.
But I am very glad that TMCnet was able actually grow the expo by 15% than last year. This is like new ring tone that I really like in these times of economic downturn. Rich Tehrani has explained the attendance in detail, explaining the demographics.
Congratulations, indeed, TMCNet, ITEXPO team. I will try not to miss the next one! (I never miss the ITEXPO west! It is given!! I meant the east)

Tom Keating, Rich Tehrani et al Battle It Out For Barak Obama's 40 Billion Broadband Stimulus Package.

I love it when two my favorite bloggers (and industry pioneers) battle it out, on the net rather than in a meeting room, (they are both from the same company, Tom is the CTO and Rich is the President of TMCnet) allowing a bunch of other people join the conversation as commenters. Their subject is President-Elect Barack Obama's stimulus package, toward improving broadband availability and speeds as part of broader economic stimulus efforts.
The benefit is that I learned lot from their conversation and I hope they would keep doing it! more often!
