4G Network Speeds
While AT&T is still trying to get it's 7.2Mbps network off the ground which it is saying that will complete by the end of 2011, T-Mobile is pulling the plug off AT&T's parade with the promise of HSPA 21Mbps network speeds in 2010. AT&T just announced that it will launch in six major U.S. cities this year, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles and Miami, (Hey what happened to San Francisco?) The rest might get the coverage by the end of 2011.
After scoring the Motorola's Android Phone, MOTOBLUR Cliq, which is exclusive to T-Mobile, T-Mobile USA’s CTO Cole Brodman said taht the carrier will be updating its 3G network to HSPA 7.2 by the end of this year, then will upgrade the network to HSPA 21 by next year. Brodman: “We are well aware of these growing devices,” he said.
