AT&T Introduces Dataconnect PassSM, Pay-as-you-need Data Service

AT&T has introduced  new prepaid broadband plans targeted  at netbook and laptop users who find themselves at lost without being tethered to the net. Verizon also offered a similar plans earlier($15 per day for 75MB, $30 per week for 250MB, or $50 per month for 500MB) and perhaps AT&T is determined not to be outdone by Verizon. Customers can purchase packages in advance for one day or one week or one month and options include:
  • DataConnect Day Pass (75 MB) – $15
  • DataConnect Week Pass (250 MB) – $30
  • DataConnect Month Pass (500 MB) – $50
“This is about choice and flexibility — giving our customers more ways to match their own data needs, on their own time and with their own budget, We want our network to be open, accessible and useful in a way that accommodates unique customer needs. DataConnect PassSM is another way consumers can customize the AT&T experience. ” said Mark Collins, senior vice president-Voice and Data Products, AT&T Mobility and Consumer Markets.
