Google Maps Navigation App Ready For Android 1.6, In Time For Thanksgiving Travels:

Google Maps Navigation Comes To Android 1.6, Snapvoip

We were happy to see Android 2.0 users getting Google Maps Navigation beta a few weeks ago and at the same time wished that Google will provide Android 1.6 users with the same navigation capabilities.
Yes Google has expanded the service and the app to Android 1.6 platform and now the T-Mobile myTouch 3G and the T-Mobile G1 users will have the capability of traveling north for the Thanksgiving Holidays (At least that is the direction I will be traveling).
If you are a Android 1.6 user, you can download an updated version of Google Maps from Android Market to use Navigation today. Google Maps Navigation is in beta and is currently available in the United States. Some features of Android 2.0 are not available on Android 1.6.
But it will provide you with the capability to enter your destination to find fresh map, business, traffic data, satellite and Street View imagery along your route. If you find a place that you do not know about, you can check out the wikipedia to see if anyone has that information entered.
