Since the launch of Google Voice for iPhone that we have been waiting for ages (while it in the Que for approval, the game that Apple lost) a lot has been happening.
A new version of Google Voice for iDevices are out and the biggest news is that now it supports iPad and iPod Touch. All the features except making cellular calls are available for these devices. But you can use your home phone or cellular phone to complete the calls you initiate with the Google Voice App with click2call
On the whole, the other improvements to the app received are :
- When you enable Push Notifications, we will automatically disable Text forwarding for you, so you won’t receive multiple notifications.
- Want some quiet time? You can send all callers straight to voicemail by turning on Do not disturb in the Settings tab.
- We made it easier for you to place calls from the address book by adding a dedicated Contacts button to the Dialer tab.
- Sending text messages is now more streamlined since you don’t need to press the OK button anymore.
