Qualcomm Press Release;
– February 16, 2011 – Qualcomm Incorporated (NASDAQ: QCOM) today announced that registration for the Uplinq™ 2011 wireless ecosystem conference is now open at www.uplinq.com. Uplinq is the only wireless ecosystem conference that brings together developers and publishers, device makers, mobile operators and technology providers focused on their shared interest in building business around mobile applications and data services. Hosted by Qualcomm, Uplinq 2011 will be held June 1-2, 2011 at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego.
Uplinq 2011 will build on the success of the inaugural Uplinq conference, held last July, as it delivers the latest technical updates and vital business connections for differentiating and selling mobile data products and services in a complex and rapidly changing multi-OS world. Uplinq also is the annual conference for developers targeting Brew MP™ and for device makers and mobile operators looking to address the enormous opportunity for driving profitable data services on the phones most people use.
“Qualcomm is always working to serve the interconnected needs of companies seeking to optimize their mobile applications and data services,” said Bill Davidson, senior vice president of Global Marketing and Investor Relations at Qualcomm. “Uplinq plays a central role in our pursuit of that goal. At Uplinq 2011, we will again be bringing key decision makers across the value chain together as they share ideas and make new business connections.”
Uplinq 2011 this coming June will cover Brew MP, Android, Windows® Phone 7, MeeGo™ and mobile open source, as well as extensive content on Qualcomm technologies, solutions and development tools. This year’s conference will also focus on how companies in the wireless ecosystem can join together in mutually beneficial engagements targeted on the fact that technology and product developments must be coupled with viable business models.
To help interested parties lock attendance into their calendars for June 1-2, Qualcomm is offering a 30 percent discount from the full conference price of $375 USD through the end of February. The Uplinq 2011 registration page can be found at www.uplinq.com/user/register.
