Apple has done it again! Come on Android, catch up! Apple App store has served 15 Billion app downloads, and I am responsible for at least 150 of them.
Looks like other 200 million odd owners of iPhone, iPad (100,000 apps in the store) and iPod did the same, downloading their favorite apps from 425000 apps in the store.
Apple has also paid developers, $2.5 billions to date and Apple seems to very happy about it, from their press release.

Now you can add more to the load on AT&T networks with Netflix on iPhone and iPod touch. I think it would be enjoyable over the WiFi but I do not know about 3G as I have not had much luck with it. At least iPhone and iPod users now can stand abreast with iPad users watching Netflix movies..
The App is available at iTunes Store and Netflix members can watch TV shows or Movies.

Apple App Store Passes 2 Billionth Download!

App Store 2 Billionth App Downloaded
It seems it took shorter time reach 2Billion from one billion for the app store. The database of 85000 apps feeding 50 Million iPhone users has achieved two billion mark in two years. Also to take in to consideration is that this quarter alone, people down loaded half a billion apps!
There are about 125,000 developer working hard to provide the staggering number of apps. iPhone and iPod touch has customers in 77 countries worldwide and "there is an App for All that". It also could be the new user base it acquired from the new iPhone 3GS.
Either way Apple is doing the thing, I hope Apple keeps on doing the right thing
Congrats Steve and the gang!

New iPhone To Support HD Video? iPhone HD

iPhone HD
According to a post on Apple is consolidating it's Composite and Component AV cable in Simply Apple AV Cable, allowing connecting to HDtv and SDtv displays using the same cable, as the new cable will support both components and composite connection.
The phonenews is suggesting that the next generation of iPhone and iPod touch will have advanced HD display capacity on both the devices. Apple is likely to offer at least one version of the iPhone and one version of iPod touch with higher resolution screen, to attract users and would be users of Zune HD, HTC Touch HD and HTC Touch Pro2.
Current iPhones and iPods has 480i and 480p and the up coming devices are said to have 720p and 1080i like most video devices.
Perhaps this is Apple's new take on consumer video after lack luster response to it's Apple TV. Perhaps next Apple TV will be a entertainment hub to Apple's consumer video ambitions.

iPOD Was Invented In 1979! By Kane Kramer.

image from Dailymail
Burst com that supposed to be holding a bunch of patents that people are calling too broad has settled with Apple out of court (Ha! Nice move, Burst!). This has come after Apple bringing out a British inventor, Kane Kramer, who sketched up developed a prototype of a very iPOD like device in 1979, as seen above. As we all know, iPODs has been used for other than music, like for VoIP with SIP for IPod.
A few companies like Microsoft had settled with Burst regarding these patents earlier. May thinking to get them on good bye patent! But there supposedly more fighting with Burst like apple. Burst in their case against Apple said iPOD was covered under a patent that was awarded in 1990!
